Dr. Mowlavi is well regarded for his technical skills and recognized for his numerous contributions in the field of cosmetic surgery with over 50 nationally recognized scientific publications. Dr. Mowlavi has received several nationally distinguished awards and been seen in Orange Coast, Los Angeles Times, Orange County Register, The Washington Post, and Self Magazine to name a few. Dr. Mowlavi has hospital privileges at Mission Hospital, Mission-Laguna Hospital, Hoag Hospital, Saddleback, San Clemente, and Long Beach Memorial Hospitals. Following six years of extensive cosmetic and plastic surgery training, Dr. Mowlavi founded Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Institute, a full spectrum cosmetic surgery facility, dedicated to providing you the utmost in surgical care with exceptional cosmetic surgery results.

Following graduation as class Valedictorian from University High School in Irvine, CA, Dr. Mowlavi attended University of Berkeley, California where obtained a degree in Biophysics and was elected by the faculty to serve as the commencement speaker of his graduating class. Dr. Mowlavi received his medical doctorate from University of San Diego, School of Medicine. Following medical school, he completed an integrated six year cosmetic and plastic surgery residency at Southern Illinois University. He has been recognized for his numerous contributions in the field of cosmetic and plastic surgery having authored over 50 national publications and has received several nationally distinguished awards including the Anastasi Gaspari Award presented by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. As the medical director of Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Institute, Dr. Mowlavi has been regarded for his utmost attention to surgical care and for his exceptional cosmetic surgery outcomes.
